A large focus of the course "Design Practice" was the reporting of each simulation and analysis performed. Being able to properly present these results is just as important as the results themselves. My report linked above was on the modeling and simulation of a V6 engine in Solidworks.

The report details every step of the process from the inception and purpose, to the final simulation of the system targeting key results. The simulation of the project was focused on providing a force to the top of the heads of the pistons, simulating the combustion of fuel. Once this force was altered, and as the engine's RPM began to increase, the mechanics of the crankshaft were studied. Thus studying how altering the linear force exerted on the piston heads alters the output of rotational force through the crankshaft.
